The Temple Mount Sifting Project
Sift through rubble that originated in ancient buildings from the First and Second Temple Periods and learn about the findings from archaeologists and expert guides at the site. Fun for the whole family!
Sifting takes place Sunday Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pmat Emek Tzurim.
The tour consists of half an hour of instruction and one hour of sifting.
It is possible to arrive in a private car and park in the Beit Orot / Hebrew University Parking Lots.
Essential Information
*Advanced registration recommended.
*The Information Center and activities take place at Emek Tzurim.
*Public Transportation to Hebrew University will drop you near the site. Bus lines 4, 19 23, 26, 28, 30, 48.
*Ample parking is available in the Beit Orot Parking Lot (near the Mormon University) and in the parking lots of Hebrew University.
*As the site is located on the slope of the mountain, one must descend multiple stairs to reach the Sifting Project.
