After a period of social and political crisis in Israel, and after our choreographers were developing their new works under constant alarms and political instability, we are getting back to a routine. We are presenting 8 new and challenging dance works, influenced by the events happening over the last couple of month.
At the 16/09/2014, after the opening program at our home venue - the Karnaf Hall, we will walk to the on the Seam Museum, in Jerusalem at 21.15pm to watch "Castle" by Rachel Erdos. This show will be followed by a panel about Artistic Creation during a period of political crisis". moderated by Itay Mautner, the artistic director of the Jerusalem Season of Culture The main event of this festival is "How hard can it be" by Yaniv Cohen- A Co-productions between Norway and MSDH. The performance will take place at Gerard Bachar Center in Jerusalem, on the 18/09/2014 ,21.00pm.
It has been successfully performed in Europe over the last month, and we are happy to host its Israel premier as part of our festival.
The festival, initiated by Machol Shalem directors Ruby Edelman and Ofra Idel, was originally created to give a stage to Jerusalem artists, and soon became a large scale dance event that draws dancers and choreographers from Israel and abroad and gives a special place to debut performances.
