Highlights
Description:
Our bike ride will begin with a ride through vineyards and olive groves in the Adolam region. Pay close attention and you'll encounter all of the Seven Species mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy. We will pay a visit to caves and a columbarium carved in the rock from the period of the Bar Kochva revolt against the Roman Empire. From there we will ride to one of the local wineries to try some of the best wine in the country and hear about the various types of grapes and wines that can be found in Israel.
For those that wish to extend the tour to a full day, we will ride from here to the Beit Guvrin - Maresha National Park. Maresha was one of the cities of Judea during the time of the First Temple and is mentioned among the conquests of the ancient Israelites in the Book of Joshua. We will also see some fascinating burial caves hidden between the rocks.
The tour is great combination of easy biking, great wine, archeology and breathtaking views.
