Katzefet, also known as "Froyo," is an ice cream shop on the corner of the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall and Luntz Street, serves as the gathering point for English-speaking yeshiva and seminary students. The tight packs of posturing boys in polo shirts and giggling girls inevitably meet over ice cream and frozen yogurt.
Katzefet offers a couple dozen flavors of decent ice cream in cones or cups, and it also features one of the more extensive shake bars in the area: You can choose from dozens of fruits, candies, nuts and other goodies ranging from lychee to halvah to blend into your milk, water or ice cream-based shake. And if you want something hot, Katzefet will prepare a crepe before your very eyes – and you choose the filling.
