Coming soon to Jerusalem: Hot air balloon in Jerusalem. Planned grand opening in Spring 2017 at the First Station compound. Until now, you've probably only been treated to an aerial view of Jerusalem on postcards, or, for a lucky few, from aboard a helicopter flying over the city.
But soon, you'll be able to glide over Jerusalem and take in the intoxicating views in a hot-air balloon. The balloon is planned to fly 150 meters high and will be located for take-off and landing at the First Station compound, which is nearby to the Old City, Yemin Moshe, the City Center, the German Colony, and other desirable Jerusalem locales. The balloon is expected to accommodate around 30 people per trip and operate year-round.
