Sovev Yerushalayim (Encompass Jerusalem) Bike Ride: May 16th, 2014
Jerusalem goes green: The Jerusalem Municipality invites you to participate in a bike ride around Jerusalem, sponsored by “Elite Turkish Coffee” on May 16th, 2014. For the first time, the new “sovev yerushalayim” (surround Jerusalem) bike path will be open to the cyclists, with 20 and 40 km riding options.

*The ride will set off from The First Station and features a path bursting with greenery, varied and interesting in one of the biggest biking events in Israel.
*Thousands of bikers will participate in the event, inaugurating the new 40 km bike path which encompasses Jerusalem.
*The ride will pass by attractive sites in the city such as the walls of the Old City, the Zoo, and more.
*On Wednesday-Thursday May 14-15, First Station will host a sports expo.
*Mayor Nir Barkat will kick off the race and ride the 40 mile bike ride.
*Over the weekend, a variety of guided walking tours will take place around the city.
*Discounts will be available at several hotels in Jerusalem for visitors.
