Gallery Talk with the Exhibition Curator and A tour of the permanent exhibition at BEIT AVI CHAI
Tuesday, June 17, 5:00 PM
One of the hidden treasures at BEIT AVI CHAI is the impressive and unique collection of historical and contemporary photographs taken by veteran and young artists. Many of the photographs relate to Jerusalem and its environs and reflect the ways in which these photographers perceive the city and its various components.
Additional images were photographed in other places across Israel and express the process experienced by the creator in his encounter with the landscape. Together, the images create a wide spectrum of perspectives, thoughts, insights and reactions to Israeli reality.
The selection of works was made together with the curative assistance of Dr. Roni Sela, a curator and historian of photography who focuses on local photography.
At the entrance to BEIT AVI CHAI, visitors receive a map to guide them through the building.
