The Oud Festival and Beit Avi Chai present "Mama Zeheyra: Etti Ankri in a Tunisian concert"

Many ancient treasures lie hidden in the Tunisian Jewish tradition. Sparks of a rich, multifaceted tradition are to be found in its foods, customs, dress, and especially its music.
These treasures accompanied Etti Ankri in her childhood, when she grew up against the background of Tunisian melodies and rhythms, thanks to her grandmother, Mama Zeheyra, born in Djerba.
Now she returns to these sounds, accompanied by an ensemble of seven musicians, who combine traditional and contemporary music with classic Tunisian rhythms and ethno-jazz beats.
