The seventh season of the successful lecture series. This year we will take an overview of Pirkei Avot and familiarize ourselves with its sections and its main topics.

Session 1: The Track of Tradition

Guest lecturer: Prof. Yeshayahu Gafni, the Department of History of the Jewish People, Hebrew University
Does tradition pass down from father to son or from teacher to student? Who wins in the covert battle between genes and scholarship, between the home and the study hall? A reading of Chapters 1 and 2.
