Beit Avi Chai presents "Jews of the Maghreb": A fresh perspective on North African Jewry.

This series of lectures traces the history of the Jews of Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco over the past century. How had Jewish culture developed in the region? How were the Mugrabi Jews influenced by European colonialism? How did Zionism and immigration to Israel affect them? How did they remake their lives in the Israeli milieu? Including film clips.
