Beit Avi Chai presents "Ana, Faiza." This monodrama won first prize at the Teatronetto Festival 2000 at the Habima Theatre.
Faiza started out as a singer in Cairo and later immigrated to Israel, where she had a thriving career. This inspiring story of a colorful woman is about fate and her relationship with her only daughter. A cast of inspiring and amusing characters brings home the charm of the East in this very human play.
The monodrama was written and performed by Yaffa Tussia-Cohen, based on the true story of her mother, the legendary Egyptian singer Faiza Rushdi. A discussion with the actress and playwright will follow the show.
