"Arise and go to the city of slaughter." Actor and producer Zohar Wexler sets out on a theatrical journey back in time to study his grandparents' hometown, Kishinev, the pogroms that so shook up Bialik and the world and pushed the Zionist movement to undertake the vast enterprise of the rebirth of the Jewish people.
The journey takes him through documents, archives, memories, and a poem that moved an entire nation.
Zohar Wexler studied theatre and acting in Chicago and Paris, launched the Le Reseda theatre troupe, and directed at the L'épée de Bois theatre, the Théâtre de l'opprimée, and at Avignon Festival.
