Beit Avi Chai presents "A Simple Story": An original musical-theater production for chamber ensemble and actor, based on a story by S. Y. Agnon.
The story, a classic of Hebrew literature, is presented by actor Yonatan Cherchy and the Atar Trio, in an unconventional show combining live music, storytelling, and theater. The music serves at times as part of the set and at other times tells part of the story.
The works selected include a classical chamber repertoire, contemporary Jewish and Israeli music, and improvisations by actor and musicians together.
The show will be followed by a brief lecture about Agnon's A Simple Story, with Bilha Ben-Eliyahu. /The Atar Trio:
