Beit Avi Chai presents "Ode to Joseph: A Play"
What do you do when Joseph's Tomb in Nablus is burning and you're inside?

A Druse, a Jew, and an Arab are trapped inside Joseph's Tomb in Nablus, and the tomb is on fire. This isn't the beginning of a joke; it's a play produced by the Mar'a Theater in Kiryat Shemona.
Will the people learn to live together? Will they be left to die? Will the rescuers come in time?
A play about ordinary people in zany circumstances, who become pawns of forces more powerful than they are: the media, the government, and an ongoing conflict.

The play won first prize in the staged reading competition at Beit Lessin Theatre's Open Stage festival.

The play will be followed by a discussion, with audience participation, on journalistic dilemmas in times of war and terrorism, with Dr. Zohar Kampf of the Department of Communications and Journalism, Hebrew University.

An original play by Roi Rashkes

Director: Rami Rodan

Cast: Gadi Pinto, Bian Antir, Ron Richter, Hezi Yale

This is a Hebrew-language event only.
