Beit Avi Chai presents "From Afghanistan to Here-Back by Popular Demand:" Piyyutim from Afghanistan and original songs inspired by the Sufi music of India, Pakistan, Turkey, and Iran.

An ensemble of leading Israeli musicians specializing in Sufi music from the Near and Far East performs original arrangements of piyyutim from the Afghan-Jewish tradition, as well as Psalms set to original melodies inspired by classical and folk songs and by qawwali ("fire music" from the Sufi tradition of Pakistan and India).
Iranian and Indian elements come together in poetic songs of devotion and dedication to God, awakening listeners to the Divine and drawing them closer to God.
