An event marking the Sigd, a festival celebrated by Ethiopian Jewry.

Esther Rada debuts in a gala event with kessim (Ethiopian rabbis), traditional dancers, and special guests.
This event, marking the Sigd festival which keeps a 2,500 year-old tradition of yearning for Zion alive, with Beta Israel's best stories and songs with novel arrangements.

In this original production, ancient songs and melodies as well as original music are performed with authentic instruments in surprising arrangements. Actress and singer Esther Rada is accompanied by seven musicians, kessim, and dancers in a unique encounter between the Beta Israel tradition and the contemporary Israeli experience.

The event will take place at the Gerard Behar Center, 11 Bezalel St., Jerusalem
Admission free, subject to available space; tickets available at the site from 5 PM
