Beit Avi Chai presents "Zarathustra in Jerusalem" Prof. David Ohana looks at Nietzsche and Hebrew culture.

"Is man only a blunder of God? Or is God only a blunder of man?" (Nietzsche)

The ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) influence thinkers and cultural figures to this day. The man who gave Western philosophy nihilism and the will to power has influenced various groups: leaders and educators, religious and atheist philosophers, leftists and rightists, intellectuals and culture critics. What is it about Nietzsche and his ideas that managed to have such a broad impact on the Jewish religion, Hebrew culture, and Israeli identity? A series on leaders, power, and philosophy in the wake of Prof. David Ohana's trilogy on Nietzsche and the history of European nihilism, which came out this year in England.
