Beit Avi Chai presents "Fact and Fiction: Diversity Within -- A five-part series of film and discussion, moderated by Amy Kronish.
*The series will host directors and script writers, including Dan Wolman, David Deri, Ofer Ron, and others.*
Jerusalem is home to thousands of English speakers-students from the United States who have come to study, immigrants both old and new from Anglo-Saxon countries, not to mention Israelis who have spent several years abroad.
The Fact and Fiction series of films and lectures at Beit Avi Chai, which observes processes in Israeli society from a new standpoint, is perfect for all those who feel that for them, Israel is still some kind of riddle.
At every session, a film dealing with a social issue will be shown. Topics include: life in development towns, immigration and acclimation, religious women in the work force, foreign workers.
After the film, there will be discussions with directors, script writers, and people involved with the social subject featured in the movie.
