The 2012 International Jerusalem Light Festival will take place in and around the Old City walls from June 6-14, 2012, from 20:00-24:00. The festival is open to the public free of charge and appropriate for visitors of all ages.
This year's festival will emphasize the connection between light and sound in two unique shows (there is an entrance fee for the shows).
1. "Streams": A rhythm packed performance by the Mayumana group
2. A magnificent and entertaining performance by the Israeli pyromania group
Dozens of light breathtaking light sculptures, interactive video art and music displays will be set up alongside street performances, pyrotechnics, film screenings, and music and dance performances.
Leading international artists from France, Portugal, Italy, Estonia and Great Britian are to participate in the festival as well as Israeli artists.
