Beit Avi Chai presents "Seder-Leading Workshop": How is this night different from all other nights? A guide for the perplexed to the Israeli seder.
Leading a seder for the first time? Frustrated by the "jabbering" of the Haggadah? Come prepare for the seder together with us: discover new ways of understanding the ancient text, introduce something of our own into the words of the ancients, and make the seder an enjoyable and meaningful experience for ourselves and our families.
During this evening we will discover new and old ways of helping the seder participants share in the experience, the discussion, and the drama that take place around the table.
Moderator: Noam Zion of the Shalom Hartman Institute, author of curriculum units and books on the Jewish holidays, including HaLaila Hazeh: An Israeli Haggadah. Noam Zion also lectures at seder-leading workshops around the world.
For dessert (the afikoman), Prof. Avigdor Shinan will speak about the secrets of the piyyutim that frame the Haggadah.
HaLaila Hazeh: An Israeli Haggadah will be available for reference during the workshop and will be offered for sale at the end of the evening.
