The Menachem Begin Heritage Center invites you to participate in "Begin Week" - commemorating 20 years to the passing of Menachem Begin and celebrating the beginning of the Begin Year.
Begin Week will take place from February 24-March 1, 2012 and includes six days of events and activities for the general public, and marks the beginning of Begin Year, which begins on the 20th anniversary of Begin's death and ends on the 100th anniversary to his birth (July 2013).

7:00pm, Sunday, February 26 - "The Commanding Officer" *FREE*
An academic evening on Begin as an urban guerrilla leader based on the research of Dr. Yaakov Markovietsky. The Menachem Begin Center will be publishing his research as a book.
(In cooperation with the Irgun Veterans Association)
Opening speakers:

Mon. February 27 - THE OFFICIAL BEGIN YAHRZEIT *BY INVITATION ONLY*
A special event in cooperation with the broadcasting network. Among the participants: Speaker of the Knesset - Reuven Rivlin, Minister Dan Meridor, Prof. Aryeh Naor, Shlomo Nakdimon, Maj. Gen. (res) David Ivri, Dr. Meir Rosen and Shalom Kitel.
The event will include a screening of rare archived sections and an artistic program. Musical management - Roni Weiss with the participation of Amir Benayun, Karni Eldad, Roni Ginosaur, Rakelia and more.
Israel's Channel 1 will be broadcasting live from the Begin Center from 21:45.

7:00pm, Tuesday, February 28 - Shirat Hayav (Song of his Life) *20NIS*
A sing-along evening commemorating the life, work and achievements of Menachem Begin. The event will include a slideshow of rare pictures and short video clips from the archive of the Menachem Begin Heritage Center.
Over the past two years, more than 2000 people from all over Israel have come to this show.
MC: Herzl Makov, CEO of the Begin Center.
Music: Rakelia and her Band.

A new film produced with the help of the Menachem Begin Heritage Center which focuses on Menachem Begin's unique character.
