Many are aware of Israel's penchant for scholars in the fields of biotechnology, medical innovation, computer engineering and weaponry. But Israel also has a history of art and literature, and among Israel's greatest creative minds was Nobel Prize winner S.Y. Agnon. His residence offers a glimpse into the life of the writer, with a preserved living room, an extensive library containing thousands of books, his Nobel Prize as well as other awards and recognitions. Plus, the typewriter Agnon's wife used to put his handwritten notes to type is there, too. Contact the center and inquire as to workshops, lectures and other events that are held in the reading room.
