August 15-27, 2011
Israel's grandest summer festival, Chutzot Hayotzer has been delighting
Jerusalemites for more than 30 years. An outstanding array of
paintings, prints, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, Judaica, gadgets,
woodworking, and more, all for sale, make the festival (whose name
loosely translates to "The Creator's Fair") a pivotal event for local
and international artists alike. There is an Israeli pavilion featuring the work of Israeli artists, as well as an international pavilion, where artists from thirty two countries around the world display and sell their arts, crafts and wares.
In addition to the local and international arts and crafts on offer, the
festival includes an international food court, featuring ethnic dishes
from across the globe, as well as plenty of live musical entertainment
including performances by Israeli superstars (lineup below) and children's activities.
