It's an exciting week in Jerusalem, as two of the city's most beloved summer attractions kick off this coming Monday: the annual wine-tasting festival at the Israel Museum and the massive international arts and crafts fair festival, Chutzot Hayotzer. • Israel's grandest summer festival, Chutzot Hayotzer, returns to Jerusalem, scheduled to grace Sultan's Pool with its outstanding array of art and entertainment from August 5-17. In addition to the local and international arts and crafts on offer, the festival includes an international food court as well as plenty of live musical entertainment and children's activities. • Hannan Yovel, Dvir Spiegel, and the Alma band, weave together Rabbi Carlebach's songs and stories of his life, with the sensitive touch of musicians at Beit Avi Chai tonight. The concert creates a tapestry of the charismatic personality and multifaceted nature of one of the greatest Hassidic singers of the 20th century.
  
  
• Following last year's success with over 10,000 partiers, the Front Stage summer production team returns to Ben Yehuda on Friday with a huge Roll and Trance Block Party. "Eifo Hayeled" will give the main performance on the Rock n Roll stage, while RITMO will open proceedings on the Trance Stage followed by trance dance DJ legend COSMOSIS -LIVE.
  
  
• Once a month, on Shabbat morning, Beit Shmuel invites parents and children to enjoy a morning of new experiences and creativity. This month's theme is summer: the session will include a discussion of the hottest season, the beach, fish, and sunflowers. At the creative workshop, children will create a host of summer projects as well as cool back to school items.
  
  
• Step out of Kansas and enter a magical universe at the Jerusalem Mall (Malcha)'s Wizard of Oz kids festival from Sunday through Tuesday. Activities include creating a clay lion with the help of a professional animator, scarecrow stuffing, making a boxed game called "Dorothy's Journey", and making a "feelings box" at the Tin Man's Station.
  
  The International Festival of Puppet Theater kicks off on Sunday, boasting a huge lineup of Israeli and International performances, as well as "Public Works" productions in the neighborhoods of Jerusalem.
  
  
• The Tower of David Museum is rife with activity throughout the month of August with something for everyone in the family. At the center of the fun is "A Little Man in a Big City": an interactive play that tells the story of the city and the search for the real people who built it. In addition, there will be workshops, courtyard activities, tours, exhibits, and the Night Spectacular.
  
  
• It's that time of year again. Israel's wine-lovers make their way to the Israel Museum's Sculpture Garden for the annual wine-tasting festival. With the sweet sounds of jazz in the background, it's a night to come out, relax, and run into people from all corners of Jerusalem.
