Love is heating up the chilly winter air just in time for Valentine's Day. It may not be an official holiday in these parts, but Israelis will take any chance they can get to have some good old romantically themed fun. So, whether or not you celebrate the day as a holiday, take the opportunity to feel the love and enjoy all there is to do in Jerusalem this week.

• Restaurants all around town are getting on board for Valentine's Day, offering special menus and deals through tonight that you're sure to love. Hamoshava 54, Frangelico, the American Colony Hotel, La Boca, Black Bar, and Colony are all in on the action. If it's a party you're after, HaTza'atzua will be showing the love with special decorations, music and dancing.
  
  
• Beit Abba, a Jerusalem ensemble that sings and plays piyyutim and original music inspired by Jerusalem's perse culture, performs tonight at the Confederation House. The seven member ensemble led by Elad Gabai seamlessly integrates traditional-liturgical sounds with contemporary sounds to create a modern Israeli ethno fusion.
  
  
• Eden Tamir's 44th concert season is going strong, delivering classical music both traditional and more modern every weekend, and showcasing Israel's most talented performers. This Friday, Inbal Megiddo on cello and Paul Altomari on double bass play Barriere, Rossini, Boccherini, Mozart, and more, followed by a romantic violin concert on Saturday.
  
  
• This coming Shabbat morning, Beit Shmuel invites parents and children to enjoy a morning of new experiences and creativity. The theme for this week is Purim - the workshop led by the Hagar creative workshops will include a discussion of the holiday and arts and crafts creation of Purim costumes and Mishloach Manot accessories.
  
  
• "Qarov Rahoq (Distant Relative)" is an original concert inspired by the works of the national poet, Hayim Nahman Bialik on Monday night at Beit Avi Chai. Pianist and composer Avishai Darash, currently residing in Europe, deals with the complexities created by his geographical distance from Israel alongside his continuing search for closeness, belonging, and roots.
  
  
• World-class guitarist Yossi Piamenta and the Piamenta band hit the stage on Tuesday night at Blaze Bar, playing oriental rock. A 14th generation Jerusalemite, Piamenta spent three decades in the United States before returning to his roots in Jerusalem a few years ago, where he is hoping to connect to and gain more recognition among Israeli audiences.
