Israelis got the rare opportunity to enjoy a relaxed mid-week American "Sunday" on Wednesday thanks to Election Day. The results are in, and the new coalitions have yet to be built, but whatever the makeup of new Parliament, what you can always count on with certainty is another action-packed, fun-filled week in Jerusalem.

Purim is still a month away, but get a head start on the jesting at Bullvaria: Andralamusia Ensemble's debut performance with clowns Yaron Sancho and Nimrod Eisenberg and DJ Eitan Hassid at Gerard Bechar tonight. The exciting comic-musical performance boasts music, acting, dance, singing, and clowning.
Israeli comedian and satirist Gil Kopatch visits Beit Shmuel for this Friday's Kabbalat Shabbat: a new series reexamining Shabbat and its meaning. Kopatch will invite us to drink four cups with him in honor of the Tu Bishvat seder, and tell light spirited and humorous stories (in Hebrew) from the Gemara and midrashim to welcome the Sabbath.
Tu Bishvat, the new year for the trees, falls on Saturday. Spend the day outdoors appreciating enjoying the city's winter nature scene. Join the Jerusalem Bird Observatory for a bird tour in Motza, choose your favorite tree at the Botanical Gardens, or bond with animals at the Biblical Zoo.
Beit Avi Chai presents "A Niggun Rising from the Dust": Melodies from the Chassidic world in new and moving arrangements by Naor Carmi, to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Sunday. This unique musical project presents the melodies composed during the Holocaust, against all odds, out of joy, faith, and hope.
Nachalat Shiva steals the spotlight on Monday night at this week's "Shaon Choref" events. The spectacular lineup includes a Jazz festival, culinary events and Mystorin Theater in the Feingold courtyard, Indie music, video art, screening of the film "Home Is You," a poetry slam, a master class with Yael Dekelbaum, and much, much more.
Wine Seven Two +972, the world's most prestigious Kosher wine expo returns to Jerusalem for a second run at Binyanei Hauma next Monday through Wednesday, January 28-30. The expo will feature the best wines from around the world and Israel, cooking and wine workshops with top chefs. 80 NIS gets you a wine glass, tastings at every winery, and free parking.
Carnivores corner: Argentinian steak house El Gaucho is now offering steak workshops and meals done like only real Argentinians know how. The workshop is led by the restaurant chain's chef using winning recipes, demonstrations, fascinating explanations, and of course, a festive meat meal.
