Jerusalem gears up for another autumnal week packed with events of all sorts for children and adults alike. The Israel Ballet's "And the Earth Shall Bear Again," first performed in London for the 2012 Olympics, makes its Israeli debut tonight at the Jerusalem Theatre, Izabo rocks out at Beit Avi Chai on Saturday night, and the Bloomfield Science Museum opens its doors to kids free of charge with a weekend of live performances, workshops and demonstrations.

This week, the city has been busier and more packed than ever, hosting, thus far, thousands of residents from southern communities daily, providing children and families a much needed respite from life under fire. With a fragile cease-fire now in effect, we hope it won't be necessary, but should the situation change, visitors from the south are invited to continue to take advantage of discounts and specials at a host of cultural institutions and hotels around town. The Tower of David Museum, The Bloomfield Museum of Science, Israel Museum and the Museum of Islamic Art are all among the venues offering free or discounted entrance, and the Inbal Hotel and Beit Shmuel Hotel and Guesthouse welcome guests from the South with a 20% discount.*

• It's been along week - why not TGIT (Thank God it's Thursday) by treating yourself to a chill night of live music and great food? Colony's Thursday night world music concert series continues this month with a live performance by Blue Rock playing classic rock covers tonight. Now is a better time than ever to hit up the restaurant-bar hot-spot which was recently renovated and now boasts a new patisserie and wine cellar, offering a variety of delicacies prepared on the spot.
  
  The Israeli Ballet presents the Israeli debut of "And the Earth Shall Bear Again": four works by celebrated choreographer Itzik Galili, tonight at the Jerusalem Theatre.   For those Yankees among us who won't be staying home to roast a turkey but enjoy on or off-key singing and a good laugh, Off the Wall Comedy Basement will be hosting English Karaoke tonight with American songs for Thanksgiving, followed by a Thanksgiving comedy special on Saturday night.
  
  
• La BaSTa BaND takes the stage on Friday afternoon with a live show of energetic, soulful world music in the Tower of David Museum's courtyard under the autumn sky. The instrumental ensemble performs powerful arrangements of favorite hits from around the world, covering the span of Irish, Balkan, Greek, Gypsy, and Mediterranean music. Entrance is free!
  
  
• This coming weekend, children ages 5-18 are invited to visit the Bloomfield Museum of Science for free thanks to Yeru-Shalem: Coalition for a Diverse Jerusalem's Oneg Shabbat program. Highlights include the LFNT ensemble featuring Ran Nir's debut, "A Tales of a Drunken Man," Dr. Molecule's humorous performance, and workshops and demonstrations.
  
  
• Izabo's hit "Time" may not have made it past the semi-finals for the Eurovision, but the band is back with a recently released new album, Life Is On My Side, and now it's time for a Jerusalem show. Izabo heads down to Beit Avi Chai on Saturday night with a fusion of Brit-Rock and Disco, spiced with Arab-Mediterranean and psychedelic motifs from the Sixties.
  
  
• 3|33, probably the most interesting electro-spice-indie band active in Jerusalem, performs a live show on Sunday night at Hataklit following the English League games (screened live). All bets are that the band, who recently opened for veteran rock band Revenge of the Tractor, won
