The rain has arrived, and so have the sufganiot and sahlab. But there's still time to get out before the snow and real winter chill blows through. And just your luck, there's a full slate of things to do this week, from concerts to art openings to holidays.

• Jerusalem's Amsterdam-style Black Party makes its triumphant return to Safra Square's underbelly on Thursday. Tomer Yosef of Balkan Beat Box, which played last year's inaugural Black Party (pictured, with the mayor in mingle mode), headlines tonight, and Tribal Dance is set to appear as well. Make sure to show up in black clothes, though, if you want to be granted entry.
  

  Naftali Hilger, the photographer whose Travels to Yemen exhibit has been drawing crowds to the Museum of Islamic Art, visits the museum tonight to tell stories from his decades of travels to Yemen. A Yemenite jewelry-making workshop runs both before and after the lecture.
  

• Is there more to the teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov than getting out of cars and dancing to loud trance music at random intersections? According to Beit Avi Chai (and most of his followers) there is! Get to the Jewish heritage center Friday morning for an exploration on Rabbi Nachman's teachings on personal growth.

• Saturday night brings a blast from the past at the Yellow Submarine, where members of 60s rock bands The Churchills and Uzi VeHasignonot reunite for an unforgettable night of music.
  

  Turkish vocalist Aynur Dogan presents her arrangements of Kurdish songs combining folk elements with popular Middle Eastern, Persian, Indian and even Andalusian folk influences, at the Jerusalem Theatre on Saturday night. Dogan appears as part of this year's Oud Festival.

• The Ethiopian holiday of Sigd has been gaining greater prominence in the Israeli public over the years. This year, Beit Avi Chai marks the occasion with a gala event on Sunday, with kessim (Ethiopian rabbis), traditional dancers and special musical guests.

• On Monday, get up and head to Russian Compound bar Ha'aliah, where awesome happy hour specials don't deplete your bank account. Guinness half-liters for 12 NIS are hard to beat.
  

  The Menachem Begin Heritage Center's new six-part workshop series dedicated to its namesake begins this Monday. Participants receive copies of Begin's autobiography White Nights, with each session focusing on a different section of the book.

• Even if you don't know who Leah Goldberg was, your kids certainly do. The queen of Hebrew literature, as well as prose, poetry and song, Leah remains a legend in Israel, even decades after her death. On Tuesday, Eitan Dror, Elad David and Sandra Cernes play and sing Leah's songs and talk about her life at Tmol Shilshom.

• On Wednesday, the Ticho House opens the exhibition Wood Menagerie by German sculptor and printmaker Rudy Lehman, whose 1960s works are often under-celebrated.
