If April showers bring May flowers, then April parties bring May... well, probably more parties. With weeks to go before the springtime festivities of Passover take over the Holy City's tourism, entertainment and cultural landscapes, Jerusalem is already kicking with slews of fun things to do around town.

Before we can say hello to April, we must bid March adieu, and what better way to do so then with beer and the Beatles? The Jerusalem Theatre presents a live band covering the Fab Four's greatest hits and lots of brew on tap to chug along to it. You say goodbye; I say hello. Soak up the spuds into the night with the finale of the Old City's Festival of Flavors (pictured, with Mayor Nir Barkat cooking alongside Machanyuda's Chef Assaf Granit).

The Tower of David might not actually date back to that loftiest king of Judea, but the citadel is nonetheless one of the most iconic and compelling spots in the city for connecting to the past. On Friday, vocalist Victoria Hana takes us back in time with I Adjure You O Women of Jerusalem, a show blending past and present, ancient and modern in Hebrew, Arabic, Persian and other vocalizations.

On Saturday night, Ahuva Ozeri, Israel's queen of "bus station music," hailed by the BBC as "the great priestess of Oriental music," takes the stage at Beit Avi Chai to talk about her childhood and recovery from cancer while playing songs spanning her decades-long career.

Downtown bar Hatza'atzua is taking happy hour to a whole new level on Sundays, with all-you-can-drink beer or wine after 9:30 p.m. For 40 or 50 NIS, you'll be imbibing until the cows come home.

The Israels Museum exhibit Life: A User's Manual, hosted in the children's wing, presents artists from a number of mediums riffing on the concept of instruction leaflets. Check it out on Monday.

Those sick of almost eight weeks of Adars may be happy to learn that this week also features the beginning of the Hebrew month of Nisan. To kick off the new moon, Beit Avi Chai presents a talk and sing-along with messianic themes.

Assuming the messiah doesn't get here by then, why not head to Independence Park for some downward dogs and happy babies? There's free yoga in the park every Wednesday evening.
