Opening event: Dor Guez, an Israeli artist who presented over 30 solo exhibitions worldwide, exposes the tragic story of the Armenian people as a minority persecuted by the Ottoman Empire.
Sunday, January 15th: “Eye for an Eye” by the Jerusalem Theater Group
A black humor, relevant Shakespearean comedy. A tale about sexual harassments and social justice, about politics, belligerence, gender and religion.
Monday, January 16th: A New Series – “Depth of Discussion” at Beit Avi Chai
A new series regarding the core issues of intellectual discourse in Israel. Textual learning and an open conversation lead by the two intellectuals Tomer Persiko and Yoav Sorek, who represent both edges of the discourse. Among the topics to be discussed – thoughts about the new conservativeness and the crisis of liberalism.
Next Friday, January 20th: Coffee Shops’ Tour with the Tower of David Museum
Ta’amon & Aroma – coffee culture, coffee of revolutions and of bohemia. A tour following the old coffee shops at the famous ‘Jerusalem Triangle’. We will tell about the institutes which constituted an integral part of the city center’s development.
“The People are with the Photographer” – Photographs’ Exhibition at the Begin Heritage Center
