Thursday, October 6th: Yemen Celebration at the Piyut Festival
Piyut lyricists, female and male singers, speakers, musical performers, dancers and an audience will be sitting around a long table set with roasted nuts and seeds and glasses full of Arak for an evening of singing, conversation, studying and dancing towards Sabbath, inspired by the Jalla tradition of Yemenite Jews.
