Jerusalem parties on as the fall holidays come to a close

With a month's worth of holidays coming to an end, some might think it's time for Jerusalem to take a little breather, kick back and relax for a little while - at least until the December craziness rolls around. Think again. Take a look at what Jerusalem has in store this week alone, the best of which is presented to you below, and you'll agree that holiday or no holiday, the city knows how to party.

Tonight, though, there's no need to reminisce on the good times that were. With Sukkot still going strong, the RockAmi festival of Jewish rock musicians (pictured is Soulfarm, headlining) once again takes over Kraft Stadium today and tonight.

Squeeze the last little bit out of the holiday by visiting a different kind of festival of booths, at the German Colony's Sukkot flea market Wednesday.

Thursday night, the city's observant Jewish areas will be doing the hora for the traditional post-Simchat Torah Hakafot Shniyot festivities, to keep the festivities going. If circle pits are not your cup of tea, you can head over to the Jerusalem Theatre for a Barbara Streisand-free performance of Yentl.

While the rest of the country has been sitting in temporary huts, the good people of Abu Ghosh are gearing up for a classical vocal music festival for the 38th year running. Even with Sukkot out of the picture, the festival is still ongoing, and Friday is a great time to go.

The people at Adom know that the only thing better than a single magnum of wine is a double magnum of wine, going so far as to create a festival around the wine-in-volume awesomeness concept. Saturday marks your last chance to go.

Enough about you. Give in to the kids, and take them to the Jerusalem Theatre for a special kids' orchestra concert on Sunday.
