GoJerusalem.com restaurant guides arrive on Google Maps
The GoJerusalem.com restaurant guide, an online database brimming with in-depth firsthand accounts of hundreds of restaurants in Jerusalem from humble street food vendors to haute cuisine wonderlands, is an unparalleled resource, the most comprehensive guide to Jerusalem restaurants available anywhere. And now that guide has been combined with Google Maps, an immensely flexible online mapping application that offers interactive, printable maps of locations all over the world, with features including walking and driving directions and the ability to save locations to your account and share them with your friends.
The result? A detailed map of Jerusalem with every single restaurant, cafe and eatery in our guides marked, complete with photographs, addresses and additional information. Planning a day or a stay in Jerusalem has never been more convenient.
Until now, the best way to find a restaurant on our site was to browse through our subcategory system, in which restaurants were pided by cuisine (French, Mediterranean, Ethiopian) or sensibility (cafe, fast food, kosher). But that's changed: now all you have to do is take your location - be it your hotel, your house, the house of a friend, a museum or tourist site, anywhere in the city - and find it (or enter it) on the map, then scroll and zoom to find out which restaurants are nearby. Whether you plan to walk or drive, the map will lead you in the right direction.
All the restaurant listings on the map link directly to our restaurant guides pages, where you'll be able to read previous user comments and leave one of your own, learn more about similar restaurants, and even, in some cases, reserve tables at the click of a mouse. And you don't have to worry about the map being current - every time our guides are updated, the map is as well (although if you hear about a restaurant opening or closing before we list it, please let us know using our contact form!)
Of course, this is only the beginning. More interactive Google Maps loaded with GoJerusalem.com content are in the pipeline, and should you require a basic downloadable and printable map of Jerusalem streets or Wi-Fi spots, we've got those too.
