The summer is here for good - finally - and it seems the mercury won't be dipping below 20 again before the fall. And just as Jerusalem is heating up, GoJerusalem.com has the low down on all the hot hot hot events around town. Stick with us and you'll be so in the know you'll be as cool as the other side of the pillow.

It's not just a salad anymore. Mix it up Thursday night with a performance of the music, sound and light hodgepodge Matbucha Project at the Yellow Submarine.

Or if you prefer music that sticks to one genre, Arik Berman has just what you need at Hama'abada (The Lab) Friday night.

No, the Marzipan Fairy is not a magical creature that brings you gooey, delicious chocolate rugelach from the famed Machane Yehuda bakery. It's actually a children's play about witches and candy at the Train Theater Saturday. Though the former would be nice, too.

If you haven't seen the Jerusalem Light Festival by Saturday night, get yourself down to the Old City, where dozens of artists have transformed the ancient winding roads and buildings of the walled city into a crazy lit-up sci-fi-like festival of lights. It's the bright move to make.

Also Saturday night, rasta rocker Mosh Ben-Ari lets his dreads down for a special acoustic performance at Beit Avi Chai as part of Shanaan Street's music series.

Most people know the Golan as that picturesque place where they get their wine. But check out an unseen side of the roof of Israel at a special photo exhibit, "From the Golan With Love," at Merkaz Hamagshimim Sunday afternoon.

Stick with the Merkaz Sunday night for the first run in Israel of the hit musical "Rent." It's not a Meluna-sponsored performance about the state of student housing in Jerusalem, but the story of a group of 20-somethings making their way in the big city could be.

We're not sure why a highly emotional giraffe is in the Train Theater's employ, but you can find out by watching performances of "A Party for the Giraffe and Lion," and "A Party for the Sad Giraffe" on Monday.

Once you've find out what made the Giraffe so sad, celebrate your detective skills with a performance of multi-genreists Nava Tehilla. File under: Yes!

On Tuesday, remember the Holocaust or explore Jewish texts, all through the magic of dance. At the Jerusalem Theater and Hama'abada (The Lab) respectively.

It's not exactly Jon Stewart, or even Craig Kilborne, but the HaZira Performance and Art Arena production of "The Daily Show" should still make you laugh with their send-ups of Hollywood favorites. At Hama'abada (The Lab) Wednesday night.
